rainy day saviours
This is no joke. I would have frozen (or worse: fallen asleep) in class without this. Plus, they recently knocked P5 off the price.

DIY: crayon lipstick
I've been sucked into the D.I.Y. vortex once again and this time its to revisit the past. Remember when you used to play house house and it was time to go grocery shopping or pick up the kids from school? We would get out our hand me down purse from mom, discarded "house keys" get into our "car"-the small space behind the boxes that was a perfect fit for a six year old-put on our lipstick-crayons-in the rear view mirror and zoom of to do errands?
Nowadays most people do all these things and can still manage to put on their crayons in the rear view mirror.
Here's how:

Monday morning classes call for the basics of basics. Sometimes your brain just can't help you put your best fashionista foot forward.

nude nail
I might be a tad bit late to the nude party, but that doesn't mean I'm the only one. So those of you out there still looking for the perfect nude polish, I think I've found it.
I've been a fan of The Face Shop's polishes since I can remember, but it's only recently I've paid their nude shades any attention. Now, their colors don't have any names so you're just gonna have to look at which is your favorite. The one I bought was a bit brown/grey side.
Unfortunately, that's the best description I can give. They have about 3 different nude shade so if the one I bought isn't your cup of tea pick another of the three!
It's well worth your money. P95 is good enough for the size of the bottle and the consistency is pretty darn great.

banquet beauty
Last Friday, Ara came over for some girly makeover time for her school banquet.
We broke out the Real Techniques brushes (I don't remember life before them) and my well worn Bobbie Brown ones that have definitely seen better days.
The well loved Naked 2 palette.
Curling irons, bobbie pins and elastics.
A small heap of fabric flowers.
And of course, nothing is complete without pizza! Ara's dad brought some to help out our hungry tummies.
Sam and Ara taking a break from being beautiful.
My little sister's first time to work a curling iron was a success! I have never been so proud. *tear* One Beauty Department tutorial and she was a total pro.
Look at this cutie!
Start off with the Baby Skin (primer), cover that with foundation, place a LOT of Naked 2's YDK (i was very heavy handed with this) and sort of smoke it out, a dab of Gold Frost in the middle of the lid, a simple wing (you can't tell in this photo but I lined right beneath her waterline too; about halfway) with some gel liner, LOTS AND LOTS of mascara and a dab of blush and bronzer.
It's that easy.
Plus she had PERFECT skin so that was a plus. Oh, and natural beauty.

hauls: the paper kind
I tend to get a little crazy when confronted with cheap stationary.
And bunny stickers.
12 new gel pens with pretty princess tops.
This awesome postcard booklet.
Heart stickers and calligraphy.
Writing scripts for AVP class in the afternoon.
Life has been pretty good so far.

a post about things
Just a glimpse of my life before the chaos starts. I'm back to making lists and filling my planner to the very edge with things to do; calls to make and people to get in touch with.
It's gonna be quite a weekend.

inside carrie's closet
Just when I thought I had figured out a style I could maintain for awhile, Carrie Bradshaw has come by storm and completely changed my mind. I've decided to completely revamp my closet with color sweaters, banana shaped earrings and a whole lot of tulle.
It's never too late to achieve your inner ballerina dreams.
Think of all the D.I.Ys I can do! Cheap costume jewelry with neon nail polishes, one of a kind buttons made into rings and earrings, and even stenciled sweaters. Oh, the possibilities are endless.
I can even overindulge on prints (polka-dots paired with stripes and LOT of hounds-tooth).
Whenever I buy a Carrie worthy piece (or hopefully an entire outfit) I'll update you all.
Fingers crossed my search for neon-sweaters-with-bunnies-and-paint-splats will not be in vain.

i loved it sew much!
It's official! The Little Serenade has had their first ever mall show-ish. Elle, Hannah and I were asked to sing at the Sew Easy event in Town Center last Satuday!
Sew Easy is the really cute sewing camp for kids. They made and modeled off their own clothes. How rad is that?
Unfortunately, I don't have actual pictures of the event because I was too busy being nervous but you can always enter the Instagram hashtag #seweasyforkids to check out photos from that day.
I do however have pre-event photos of us walking around.
Sister Style
Sam being too cool for us.
The Little Serenade rehearsing.
Waiting for the event to start. Oh, my hair is blue again.
Getting crazy together with a little Charades.
I think we're pretty cute.
Also, thanks to Luis for kidnapping my camera so that I have photos. Haha.

you're just my type
It's been a busy week of submitting Midterms and finding out what Finals is going to be, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna deprive you guys of pictures from a great event!
Last March 15-16 there was an exhibit called Type Kita held at No. 10 Alabama in Quezon City.
The place itself was this old house that sold resurrected furniture (I have never wanted side tables so much in my life.)
Vintage typewriters from Qwerty Manila.
Pieces for sale whose profits go to Typhoon Yolanda victims.
And a bunch of other great stuff that made my wallet freak out a tad bit.
Elle, hand painted and these awesome Chalkboard Cookies. Contact Pink Teacup Shoppe if you're interested in ordering!
Sam and I walked around a lot, bought awesome stuff and enjoyed some Sorbetes.
Overall, a day well spent. Can't wait for the next one.
As per usual photos taken by the very wonderful:
